Bringing Assistance for Rural Needs During Shutdowns Act

This bill would require workers at the Farm Service Agency (FSA) to keep doing their jobs even during a government shutdown. Normally, only government employees whose work involves protecting people's lives or property are allowed to keep working when the government shuts down. This bill would officially classify all FSA work as emergency work involving the safety of human life or the protection of property, so FSA employees could be required to stay on the job during any shutdown.
