ATF Transparency Act

This bill changes rules for certain types of firearms that require special permits, like machine guns, short-barreled shotguns, and silencers. If someone applies to transfer or make one of these firearms and doesn't get denied within 90 days, they can go ahead with the transfer or making. The bill also creates a process for people to challenge denials of their applications. Finally, it requires government reports on background checks that take longer than 90 days and statistics about firearm transfer background checks handled by the FBI.
