Albuquerque Indian School Act of 2025

This bill would transfer about 9.89 acres of federal land in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that was once part of an Indian boarding school into trust for the benefit of the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico. The General Services Administration would have to move any federal workers off the land and hand control over to the Department of the Interior, which would then officially place the land in trust. The land must be used for purposes like education, health, culture, and economic development for the 19 Pueblos, and gambling on the land is not allowed. The bill also requires the government to transfer ownership of buildings on one section of the land to the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center.
