Clean Cloud Act of 2025

This bill creates a system to reduce pollution from large data centers and cryptocurrency mining facilities. The Environmental Protection Agency would measure how much greenhouse gas pollution comes from the electricity these big facilities use. Starting in 2027, facilities that use electricity that creates more pollution than allowed would have to pay fees. The pollution limits would get stricter each year until 2035, when no pollution would be allowed. The money collected from these fees would be used to fund clean electricity projects and help lower electric bills for homes.
