Apex Area Technical Corrections Act

This bill allows the Department of the Interior to transfer certain rights-of-way related to the Apex Project to the city of North Las Vegas and the Apex Industrial Park Owners Association. The rights-of-way would allow utilities like electric power, water, natural gas, telephone, railroad, and highway facilities to connect to industrial sites in the Apex area. The bill modifies a 1989 law that gave Clark County, Nevada the option to buy federal land called the Apex Site for industries that handle hazardous materials. Any land transfers must follow federal land laws, and the land withdrawal must continue forever for all transferred lands.
