American Hemp Protection Act of 2025

This bill would cancel changes to hemp rules that Congress made in November 2025. The 2025 changes made hemp regulations stricter by changing how THC levels are measured and excluding certain hemp products from being legal. The 2018 farm bill had previously removed hemp from being treated as an illegal drug if it contained 0.3% or less of delta-9 THC, which is the part of marijuana that makes people feel high. This bill would bring back the older, less strict hemp rules by repealing the 2025 changes.
