LICENSE Act of 2025

This bill would change the rules for commercial driver's license testing. It would allow certified CDL test examiners who have already completed skills test training to also give the written knowledge test after completing just one unit of instruction about that test. The bill would also let any state give the driving skills test to CDL applicants, even if those applicants live in a different state or got their training somewhere else. These changes are similar to temporary rules that were used during COVID-19 but have since ended.
