Northwest Energy Security Act

This bill requires three federal agencies to operate dams in the Columbia and Snake rivers according to a 2020 environmental impact statement that focused on dam operations rather than restoring wild fish. The agencies must follow this 2020 plan instead of a newer 2023 initiative that focuses on fish restoration. The bill also requires Congress to approve any changes that would reduce the dams' electricity production or limit boat navigation on the Snake River.
