Honor Our Living Donors Act

This bill changes the rules for a government program that pays back organ donors for expenses like travel costs when they donate organs. Currently, donors can only get money back if the person receiving their organ has a low income. The bill removes this rule so donors can get reimbursed no matter how much money the organ recipient makes. The bill also says donors can get their expenses covered even if the organ recipient pays them back or could pay them back. The Department of Health and Human Services must study whether the program covers enough of donors' costs and report how much more funding might be needed.
