Doctor Knows Best Act of 2025

This bill would stop health insurance plans from requiring doctors to get approval before providing medical care or treatments. Starting in 2026, insurance companies could not use rules like prior authorization, step therapy, or medical necessity reviews for any covered medical items or services. This would apply to all health insurance plans, including government health programs.
