Rural Depositories Revitalization Study Act

This bill requires three federal banking agencies — the Federal Reserve Board, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation — to work together on a study about how to support banks and similar financial institutions in rural areas. The study must look at ways to help these rural institutions grow, stay financially strong, and be more profitable. The agencies must also identify any existing laws or rules that get in the way of these goals or make it harder to open new banks in rural areas, and they must report their findings.
