VA CPE Modernization Act

This bill changes how the Department of Veterans Affairs pays for continuing education expenses for its healthcare workers. Currently, only board-certified doctors and dentists can get money back for these education costs. The bill would expand this program to include other full-time healthcare professionals like registered nurses and would increase the payment amounts for doctors and dentists. The bill also removes the requirement that doctors and dentists must be board-certified to receive this money, and sets a minimum payment of $2,000 per year for each eligible position.
