Federal Employee Student Debt Transparency Act

This bill requires certain high-level federal government employees to report how much they owe on federal student loans each year. It applies to employees in Senior Executive Service positions and those in confidential or policy-making jobs called Schedule C positions. These employees must file a report showing how much principal and interest they owe on their federal student loans. The Office of Government Ethics must then send Congress a yearly report with the total amount owed by all these employees and list any employees who failed to submit their information.
