Wildfire Aerial Response Safety Act

This bill requires the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to study how drones flying into restricted airspace have interfered with efforts to fight wildfires on public lands. The study will look at how many times over the last five years drones caused problems during wildfire operations and how serious those problems were. It will also explore whether technology to stop drones or public education campaigns could help prevent these situations in the future. The FAA must then share its findings and recommendations with Congress.
