RISE from Trauma Act

This bill continues and creates several programs to help young people and families who have gone through, or might go through, difficult and traumatic experiences. It renews funding through 2030 or 2031 for things like a national network focused on childhood trauma, school-based mental health services, data collection about harmful childhood experiences, and a group studying trauma-informed care. The bill also sets up new grants for projects that address trauma and toxic stress, help hospital patients after overdoses or suicide attempts or violent injuries, and train professionals in young children's mental health. It also requires the Department of Health and Human Services to offer training resources about trauma for service providers and community members, and it directs the Department of Justice to create a national center that helps law enforcement better interact with youth and families affected by violence and trauma.
