Housing Fairness Act of 2025

This bill requires the Department of Housing and Urban Development to create a nationwide testing program to find and document housing discrimination against people based on their race, color, religion, sex, family status, disability, or national origin. The program will measure how often this discrimination happens in housing and mortgage lending markets. The bill also continues funding through 2028 for a program that helps organizations assist victims of housing discrimination. Additionally, it creates a new grant program to help nonprofit organizations study the causes and effects of housing discrimination and test solutions to prevent it.
