Caring for Survivors Act of 2025

This bill increases monthly payments that the Department of Veterans Affairs gives to surviving spouses of veterans who died from service-connected conditions or were totally disabled. It also makes it easier for survivors to qualify for these payments by reducing the time a veteran needed to be totally disabled from 10 years to 5 years. The bill sets specific payment amounts for survivors of veterans who were totally disabled for less than 10 years before they died.
