Consolidating Veteran Employment Services for Improved Performance Act

This bill moves several veteran employment programs from the Department of Labor to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The programs being moved include job counseling and training services for veterans, federal employment services for veterans, enforcement of veterans' job rights, and programs to help homeless veterans find work. The bill creates a new office within the VA to run these programs and requires the VA to include funding for them in its budget starting in 2028. The bill also changes the rules for state employees who help veterans find jobs and requires the VA and Labor Department to study how well the transfer works.
