Freedom to Petition the Government Act

This bill allows nonprofit organizations from outside Washington, D.C. to meet with federal government officials on federal property without having to register as a business in D.C. first. Currently, organizations formed outside D.C. must generally register with the city before doing business there. The bill creates an exception so these outside nonprofit groups can meet with federal officials in federally owned or leased buildings in D.C. without going through D.C.'s registration process.
