To prohibit the use of Federal funds to implement Salmonella framework for raw poultry products.

This bill stops the federal government from using money to put in place new rules about Salmonella bacteria in raw chicken and turkey. The Food Safety and Inspection Service proposed these rules in August 2024. The new rules would declare certain raw chicken and turkey products with specific types and amounts of Salmonella as contaminated and ban them from being sold. The rules would also require poultry processing plants to do more testing for germs, keep better records, and follow new monitoring programs.
