District of Columbia Transportation Funding Equality Act

This bill would let Washington, D.C. be treated the same as a state, instead of a territory, when it comes to certain federal transportation grant programs. These programs help pay for things like buying and fixing buses, building bus facilities, improving fish passage by replacing blocked culverts, and making roads safer to prevent deaths and serious injuries. The bill would also include D.C. in a formula that gives extra funding to states with high population density or fast growth, which D.C. is currently left out of.
