Mystic Alerts Act

This bill would allow emergency alerts to be sent to mobile phones using satellites, not just through regular cell networks. Phone companies that already participate in the emergency alert system would need to tell the FCC whether or not they plan to send alerts by satellite. If a company chooses not to send satellite alerts, it has to let its customers know. People who use mobile phones would also have the option to stop receiving satellite alerts if they don't want them.
