FAIR Act of 2025

This bill would stop the federal government and organizations that get federal money from treating people differently because of their race, color, or where they come from. It would ban both discrimination against people and giving special advantages to people based on these characteristics when making contracts, hiring decisions, or other activities. Federal agencies would have to change their policies to follow these new rules. People could sue if they think the law was broken. The bill says giving preference means any kind of advantage, including quotas or numerical goals.
