Motor Carrier Safety Screening Modernization Act

This bill changes a safety screening program for commercial truck and bus drivers so that trucking companies can check a driver's crash and serious safety violation history not just before hiring, but also while the driver is employed. It also requires changes to the system where drivers and trucking companies can challenge crash or inspection records they believe are wrong, making sure that any appeal is reviewed by a different person than the one who originally issued the violation.
