Ensuring Federal Purchasing Efficiency Act

This bill changes how often the government updates certain dollar limits used when buying goods and services. Right now, these spending thresholds are adjusted for inflation every five years, but this bill would require them to be updated every three years instead. One example is the "simplified acquisition threshold," which is a dollar limit below which the government can use simpler purchasing procedures — under this bill, that limit would be adjusted for inflation more frequently.
