Safe Skies Act of 2026

This bill requires the Department of Transportation to extend existing rules about how long flight crew members can work and how much rest they must get between shifts to include crew members who fly cargo planes. Right now, those work and rest rules only apply to crew members on passenger flights operated by airlines. The bill would change that so cargo flight crews are covered by the same requirements.
