Office of Small Farms Establishment Act of 2026

This bill would require the Department of Agriculture to create a new Office of Small Farms to help support small farms, ranches, and forest operations that are under 180 acres and earn less than $350,000 a year. The office would coordinate assistance across the department, help small operators apply for government grants and loans, and provide grants of up to $25,000 for things like equipment repairs, business planning, and conservation projects. The bill also requires the office to assign a small farms coordinator in every state.
