SWAG Act

This bill would stop federal agencies from using taxpayer money to buy or give away free promotional items like t-shirts, mugs, or other products that advertise the agency or its programs. It would also ban agencies from making or using mascots to promote themselves. The bill includes three exceptions: when Congress specifically allows it by law, for military recruitment purposes, and for military academy sports team mascots.
