MAILS Act

This bill requires the U.S. Postal Service to create a formal process for local government officials to request a new post office. It also changes how the Postal Service communicates with local officials and the public about temporary moves of postal services for holidays, special events, or when they have too much business. If the Postal Service wants to temporarily move postal services for more than two days, they must first get input from the community and provide notifications and updates to local officials and the public.
