SEWER Act

This bill gives official legal authority to a CDC program that tests sewage water to detect diseases. The program looks for viruses like COVID-19, flu, mpox, dengue, West Nile virus, and RSV in wastewater. The bill requires the CDC to expand this program and work with public health departments to collect sewage samples and share disease information.
