Rural ER Access Act

This bill would remove a Medicare rule that says off-campus hospital facilities must be within 35 miles of the main hospital to get special payment status. Under current rules, these facilities need to be close to the main hospital to be paid like hospital outpatient departments by Medicare. The bill would eliminate this 35-mile distance requirement.
