GAAME Act of 2026

This bill makes it clear that federal money meant to help students from low-income families (called Title I funds) can be used to pay for arts and music programs in elementary and secondary schools. Schools that run school-wide programs can include plans for arts and music education taught by certified teachers that meet state academic standards. Schools that run programs targeting specific students can also use the funds for arts and music, including paying for certified teachers, training, supplies, and instruments.
