Parental Notification and Intervention Act of 2025

This bill requires that parents be told before their unmarried child under 18 can have an abortion, and there must be a 96-hour waiting period. People who perform or help with an abortion without following these rules could be fined or go to jail for up to one year. Parents can go to court to try to stop the abortion. The notification requirement can be skipped if there is a medical emergency or if the parent has physically abused the child.
