HERO Act

This bill creates a grant program to help schools buy drugs that can reverse opioid overdoses and to develop educational programs about topics like CPR, drug prevention, and how to respond to drug overdose emergencies. Schools that can apply for these grants include private elementary and secondary schools, local school districts, and certain charter schools. The bill also requires schools that receive federal money and distribute overdose reversal drugs to report information about that distribution to two national tracking systems.
