Agricultural Access to Addiction and Mental Health Care Act

This bill requires a government agriculture research agency called NIFA to study how easy or hard it is for farmers and ranchers to get help with addiction and mental health problems. The study focuses on farmers and ranchers affected by things like long-lasting droughts, extreme weather, unstable crop and livestock prices, and misinformation aimed at consumers. The study must look at state and local programs that are already working well and could be used as models at the federal level, and it must offer suggestions for making care easier to access. NIFA is required to work with other federal agencies, state agriculture departments, and mental health and farming organizations while doing the study.
