To amend the Export Control Reform Act of 2018 to provide for a ten-year statute of limitations for export control violations.

This bill would double the time limit — from 5 years to 10 years — that the government has to take legal action against someone who breaks U.S. laws about exporting goods and technology. It also makes clear that the clock on starting a legal case includes when the government sends a formal letter telling a company or person they are being investigated for possibly breaking export rules.
