Senior Hunger Prevention Act of 2026

This bill makes changes to several food assistance programs to help older adults and adults with disabilities get enough to eat. It lets certain households stay enrolled in SNAP (food stamps) for up to 36 months instead of 24, makes it easier for elderly and disabled people to apply, and increases some benefit amounts. The bill also allows partnerships to provide free or low-cost food delivery for SNAP participants and expands programs like the Commodity Supplemental Food Program and the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program to include low-income adults with disabilities. Additionally, it directs the Department of Agriculture to create new grant programs related to these efforts.
