Black History is American History Act

This bill requires schools, colleges, libraries, and museums to include Black history when they teach American history if they want to receive certain federal education grants. The bill covers grants that support teacher training workshops and student programs focused on American history and civics. It also requires that Black history be included in national tests that measure how well students are learning different subjects. Organizations that work with the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture would get priority when applying for these grants.
