Hazard Pay for Health Care Heroes Act

This bill would allow the government to give money to hospitals, clinics, and home health agencies so they can pay extra wages, called hazard pay, to essential health care workers who face danger because of an emergency or disaster. Essential health care workers include doctors, nurses, public health workers, janitors in health care settings, and others whose jobs require them to be there in person. The money could also be used to keep these workers safe, such as by providing protective equipment or different ways to get to work.
