SHUSH Act

This bill would remove silencers from federal laws that currently regulate firearms. It would eliminate requirements for people to register silencers or get special licenses to buy them, and it would remove the need for background checks when purchasing silencers. The bill would also prevent state and local governments from creating their own taxes or rules for silencers, reduce certain prison sentences for crimes involving silenced firearms, and allow current and former police officers to carry concealed silencers.
