DOT Victim and Survivor Advocate Act

This bill requires the Department of Transportation to create a new job called the National Roadway Safety Advocate. This person would work directly with people who have been hurt in car crashes, people who survived crashes, and their families. The advocate's job is to listen to what these families need and want, then tell the Department of Transportation about their concerns and suggestions for making roads safer. The advocate would also be available to help these families with roadway safety questions. Each year, the advocate must write a report about road safety problems and suggest ways to fix them.
