Bank Fraud Technology Advancement Act of 2026

This bill requires the main federal agencies that oversee banks and credit unions to work together on a study about how these institutions use advanced technology to detect fraud. The study would look at how well the technology works, whether smaller community banks and credit unions have access to it, and how artificial intelligence is being used to catch fraud. The agencies must share their findings and any suggestions for new laws with Congress and make the report available to the public. The bill also lets these agencies create a temporary test program to help smaller banks and credit unions get access to better fraud detection tools.
