Protecting Seniors and Stopping Fraudsters Act

This bill adds new rules to help prevent fraud in Medicare hospice programs and home health agencies. It requires more frequent inspections for newly enrolled programs, those with ownership changes, and those with unusual patterns in admitting or releasing patients. Programs and agencies that don't submit required information to the government will face bigger cuts to their payments starting in 2029. The bill also requires the government to flag hospice programs and home health agencies in areas where the number of such providers has grown unusually fast, marking them as high risk for fraud and requiring extra screening, including fingerprinting for certain staff.
