Stop the Censorship Act

This bill changes the legal protections that social media companies and similar online services have when they remove or block content. Right now, these companies are protected from lawsuits when they remove content they consider objectionable, like violent or harassing material. This bill would take away that protection and instead only protect companies when they remove content that is actually illegal, or when they give users themselves the option to filter or block content they don't want to see.
