Public Lands Integrity Act

This bill would block Congress from including provisions that sell, give away, or transfer federal lands in certain fast-tracked budget bills known as reconciliation legislation. Reconciliation is a special process Congress can use to make changes to spending and tax laws more quickly, with limited debate and fewer chances to change the bill in the Senate. Under this bill, any provision that would result in selling or transferring federal lands would be treated as unrelated to the budget and therefore not allowed in these fast-tracked bills.
