Chronic Disease Flexible Coverage Act

This bill makes official an IRS rule that lets high deductible health plans cover more types of preventive care without charging the full deductible. High deductible health plans normally require people to pay a high amount before insurance starts covering costs, but they can offer some preventive care without requiring this payment. The IRS expanded the list of preventive care to include things like blood pressure medication for people with heart problems, insulin for people with diabetes, and antidepressants for people with depression. This bill puts that IRS rule into law.
