To terminate the designation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as a major non-NATO ally, and for other purposes.

This bill removes Pakistan's special status as a major non-NATO ally, which currently gives Pakistan certain benefits like access to extra U.S. military equipment and the ability to work with the U.S. on defense research projects. The President cannot give Pakistan this special status back unless Pakistan proves it has taken specific actions against a group called the Haqqani Network, including military operations against this Taliban-connected group and prosecuting its leaders.
