Less Bureaucracy, Better Family Engagement Act

This bill moves several family engagement and education-related programs from the Department of Education to the Department of Health and Human Services. The programs being moved include ones focused on family involvement in education, community support for schools, school safety, and educational TV programming. The bill also moves the workers and funding tied to those programs, but it requires the Office of Management and Budget to make sure the move does not result in more total government employees at either department. Any ongoing legal cases or pending applications for benefits related to these programs would not be affected by the transfer.
