Veterans Cannabis Use for Safe Healing Act

This bill would stop the Department of Veterans Affairs from taking away benefits from veterans who use marijuana through state-approved programs. It requires VA doctors to talk with these veterans about their marijuana use and include it in their medical records when planning treatment. The bill also lets VA doctors give recommendations about marijuana to veterans who live in states that have approved marijuana programs.
