MOMMIES Act

This bill makes changes to Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) to address the health care of mothers. It extends health coverage for women after pregnancy from 60 days to one year and adds dental care to that coverage. The bill also creates a grant program for states to set up "maternity care homes" that provide services to pregnant women on Medicaid or CHIP. Finally, it requires a government report on gaps in coverage for pregnant and postpartum women and on how states are using telehealth to help mothers access care.
